Manchester United and Chelsea play their group stage matches and have high hopes they’re both advancing out of the group stages.

Jose and Conte’s men are the first of the English teams who show up in Champions League action later this evening. Chelsea travel to a strong Roma side, who really took the game to them at Stambridge.

The end result of this push was a return to Italy with a valuable point. A valuable point considering the form striker Edin Džeko’s in and, the Romans are taking on the Blues at home. The two’s last meeting ended 3-3, with Džeko scoring a blinder of goal worthy to be deemed, world-class!

Man United’s group and run appears to be fairly easier than the other English teams participating in the Champions League this term. They struggled away last time out, but came away with the win after the blunder of all blunders, by Benfica’s goalkeeper.

More from The Top Flight

Both teams have been in stellar form recently and showing teams that they belong in the Champions League. Dominating possession and critical finishing has played a huge role in both these teams’ campaigns.

It will be no surprise to see Chelsea and United stroll through to the Round of 16. Probably ending as the best team in their respected groups.
