Out of the big names in the game, Carlo Ancelotti was the first to get axed from Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich.

Following the painful departure from management this season, Ancelotti spoke about his future plans.

The Italian plans on taking a break until the end of the season, only then will he decide his preferred destination.

Taken from Sky Sports:

"“I want to manage. Not this season, maybe next season (either) in the Premier League or at another club. The only think I want to do is to train.”"

What follows the manager’s words is the question, what club in the English Premier League?

Returning to Chelsea seems like the least likely to happen but would obviously be Ancelotti’s first choice, considering he’s managed them before.

Why’s this more improbable than possible? Because Chelsea recently won the English Premier League with their current manager, Antonio Conte.

More from Chelsea

How it becomes possible? Following recent news of Antonio Conte wanting out when the season concludes in 2018. Could make space for Carlo.

However, Chelsea’s hierarchy will try everything in their power to keep Conte at the club. The other top-six clubs look as if they settled with their current managers and have no appetite to part ways with them.

It would be crazy considering the top-six clubs have been harbouring the top spots with one or two surprises taking place on the English Premier League table.

Where he could make a real challenge for himself:

One team in need of new ideas and a manager to suit some of the signings made this season is West Ham United.

Slaven Bilic has afforded he’s squad a poor opening to his third season in charge. They’ve accumulated two wins, one draw, and got knocked down four times, receiving seven points in the process this season.

As non-Hammers supporter, I’d welcome a move like this to happen. Just to see if the Italian brain has what it takes to do it without the bankroll or star players, he’s always been handed when taking on a new job.

In my opinion, it’s time for a change in the Hammers camp and one way to rejuvenate a side running out of ideas in their new stadium. Is to get in a manager of Carlo Ancelotti’s caliber.
