One in and one out, as Spurs announce the signing of Spanish striker, Fernando Llorente.

Sad for Swansea to lose another important player such as Fernando Llorente, after already losing key midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson. The two were vital to Swansea’s stay in the Premier League but will be without them this term.

Spurs were too slow off the mark considering all the late deals they made this window. More players appeared to be on their way out rather than in. That’s why this deal comes as a big surprise. Spurs were looking more into the deal for Divock Origi before tying up this deal.  But Klopp was unlikely to sell to a rival club.

The Wembley stadium team have been struggling with a backup to Harry Kane. With Vincent Janssen future in doubt and looking certain to leave (This window or the next one). Manager Mauricio Pochettino needed to add a player and a player with quality.

The big Spaniard was just the answer for this debacle. Great move for both the player and club. Not so great for Swansea as said previously.

Janssen has fallen way down the pecking order and will likely see even less games after adding another striker in Llorente.

The deal between Spurs and Swansea:

The fee set between the two English clubs is said to be £12 million for the 32-year-old. This is a small price to pay for a player who’s scored 15 goals last season in a struggling Swansea side.

The player comes in at the right moment and has a chance to play Champions League football for the club. Something he will relish and do a good job at with all the experience he has.

What comes at no surprise is Spurs unlikeliness to find their own players. They have been the hijackers of the trade for some time now, making this a normal occurrence.

With 15 goals last season does he comes as backup or will be a featuring partner for the prolific goal scorer, Kane.

Exciting times ahead and another person who we wish good luck to, on his new journey in the English Premier League.
