After a long transfer saga between Liverpool and RB Leipzig over star attraction, Naby Ketia. Things have finally ended positively with the player signing for the Reds!

Liverpool have been taken to the cleaners for their business this term in the transfer window. They’ve struggled all transfer window to acquire their top targets such as Keita and van Dijk.

Knowing the deadline day is a couple of days away, it’s inevitable a lot of clubs will do business faster or at least get things wrapped up before the window closes.

It was said earlier in the window already, Klopp and the club were in agreement no other players will be considered over their top targets. This saw a quiet window with most of LFC’s transfers happening early on and then nothing at all after.

Klopp’s depth was underlined as the main concern for them last season. Having players in numbers was not the key, but having players with quality in numbers is key.

Looking at the ranks of Liverpool’s rivals, most, if not all, have a number of quality players.

With the signing of Keita, the Reds have started doing the same. Keita comes into Liverpool with loads of potential and as a key player for the Reds. It appears waiting for Keita was the right choice for the club, after finally breaking through and signing him.

Naby Keita’s deal to Liverpool:

First of all! This transfer finally breaks the curse of the Carroll and makes Keita a record signing for the mighty Reds.

The fee is said to be around the region of £48m triggering the players release clause, as reports suggest. BBC go on to say the final fee paid by the club, is an undisclosed fee.

However, the only downfall of the deal is, Naby Keita will not join the Premier League side this season and will meet up with the club after next season’s transfer window opens, June 2018.

The African powerhouse will wear the iconic number 8 jersey. He either loves Steven Gerrard that much and couldn’t wait to get the number. Or, he has no idea how big the shoes are he needs to fill!

With the inclusion of Keita, Liverpool now have three of the best African players in the world, Saido Mane, Mohamed Salah, and now Naby Keita.

Welcome to the Premier League Mr Keita, we’ll be waiting to see what you can do next season.
