Eden Hazard is looking increasingly likely to be Real Madrid’s main summer transfer target. However, the Belgian should think twice before he swaps Chelsea for Los Blancos.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard might have a key career decision to make come the summer. Hazard has been sensational for the Blues this season, and is now attracting interest from rival clubs looking to entice the winger away from Stamford Bridge.

In particular, Real Madrid have been strongly linked with making a move to sign Hazard in recent days, with Sky Sports being the latest to report as much. Zinedine Zidane already has a team of superstars, but in typical Real Madrid fashion, they always want the latest bright young thing that’s out there.

Madrid always want more, no matter how many stars they already have in their team. When it comes down to it, that might be something Hazard needs to think about as he contemplates what life at the Bernabeu might be like.

At Real Madrid, your always just a day away from potentially being yesterday’s news. Just ask James Rodriguez and Isco. Just ask Alvaro Morata. Today can be a good day, but tomorrow can be completely different.

Hazard has been in phenomenal form for Chelsea this season. However, it’s not always been like that. Last season was disappointing from the entire Blues team. Hazard was a big reason for that, being the team’s best player, and how poor he was.

At Chelsea, though, things turn around and you have time to gather yourself. At Madrid, you can get swept under the rug in no time. There will be another Eden Hazard next summer. The next flavor of the month. You’re always replaceable.

Something else for Hazard to contemplate is how he would fit into Madrid’s team. The current front three of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale would be difficult to break into. How does all four fit into the same team? Can they even work together?

Even if all four are in the team together, the lineup certainly will not be built around Hazard. If anybody, it will be built around Ronaldo as he continues to evolve as a player in his 30s. At Chelsea right now, Antonio Conte has a formation that suits Hazard perfectly.

That would be gone n Madrid. Instead of the team suiting Hazard, now it would be the Belgian try to fit into the team. Instead of this season’s Hazard, Madrid might end up with last season’s. That’s not to say Hazard would fail in Madrid.

If given time, he would probably be a huge success – but that’s the point. Will you get the time? The situation is totally different at Real Madrid. It’s not as straight forward as just being a Galactico now and everything clicks.

A move to Real Madrid, although glamorous, can quickly lose its luster. Despite the initial appeal, Eden Hazard has a lot to contemplate before he swaps Chelsea for Los Blancos.
