Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have been stuttering of late, a move for left back Riza Durmisi may be exactly what is needed to breathe fresh life into the side.
Liverpool enjoyed a very strong start to the premier league this season, at the halfway point they find themselves in amongst all the other heavy hitters chasing leaders Chelsea.

But manager Jurgen Klopp is having a serious problem filling the position of left back with a natural left footed defender. Instead the German is deploying a makeshift left back in James Milner.
It’s pretty clear that Milner is not now, nor has he ever been a defender. This is clear to see whenever he plays in that role. It may also be one of the contributing factors to the fact Liverpool have only won one game in their last seven.
That win of course, was the FA Cup replay against a Plymouth side who are in fifth place of the lowest tier of the football league.
Should fans be worried?
There is little to no doubt in my mind that Liverpool fans should be terrified by recent form. The five-year deal Phillipe Coutinho signed earlier this week was surely meant to inspire confidence and boost morale amongst the players. Any good this did however, was immediately undone by their exit from the EFL cup at the hands of Southampton.
Not to take anything away from a Saints team that defended really well, but Liverpool failed to take their chances.

Earlier this season when the same concerns were plaguing Manchester United many pundits were saying poor Jose Mourinho was ‘over the hill’ when it came to managing. So far Jurgen Klopp has not had to hear any of those comments in his direction.
But how much longer do you really think that’ll last? A January move for a quality young player could be just what Klopp and the fans of Liverpool so desperately need.
What would Riza Durmisi bring to Anfield?
Durmisi is a gifted left footer, and one of a defensive mind with the ability to push forward. The Danish 23-year-old arrived at Real Betis in the summer from Brondby, but he is already attracting attention from many big clubs.
There is a £17million buy out clause in his five year contract, however Klopp may not see the situation as desperate like so many others do.
The German insists he is not concerned about the position during the transfer market.
"“What I can say is that I didn’t think for a second until now about another left-back.“We are always looking for players but in this moment we have two left-backs – Milly is one and Alberto Moreno the other."

This could be a misdirection tactic by the Kop boss, or more worryingly, he might not realize that although Milner is a versatile player, he is not a natural left back and cannot thrive in the position.
