Liverpool and Watford will clash at Anfield in week 11 of the Premier League. Here is how to watch the game.

Liverpool and Watford are two clubs currently performing above expectations in the Premier League this season. Next up for both teams will be each other as they face-off at Anfield.

Liverpool were expected to challenge for a top four position, with a slim chance of making a title push. But early-season form suggests a top four finish is looking rather likely, and a title push is also on the cards.

Jurgen Klopp’s team don’t come without flaws. However, their strengths are overwhelming their opponents in many games. The Reds play with incredible energy and intensity, and press their opponents high up the pitch to force errors.

For the most part, the tactics remain incredibly effective. However, only the long term will tell if they are sustainable. Sustainable in terms of the work load in a league that’s middle name could be fixture congestion. And sustainable in terms of opponents finding ways to combat the tactics.

Liverpool do a rare thing in the Premier League by sharing the goals around the team. There is no one player who scores way above and beyond everybody else. The guy who could do that is Daniel Sturridge, and he resides on the Liverpool bench these days.

Klopp has his team playing his way and they are a force to be reckoned with. The same could be said, on a lesser scale, for Watford. Walter Mazzarri has quickly whipped his Watford troops into shape and the club is already benefiting.

Despite finishing 13th last season under Quique Sanchez Flores, the Hornets have seemingly stepped up another level under Mazzarri. The team are organized and balanced, but are far from boring in most games.

Ideon Ighalo was the team’s top scorer last season, with 15 goals. Whilst Troy Deeney wasn’t far behind, scoring 13 times. But those two really carried the team in terms of scoring. The next highest scorer last year was a trio of players on just two goals!

Everybody else was defending, whilst Ighalo and Deeney did the scoring. This year, Watford are more rounded. Even Ighalo only scoring one goal so far hasn’t hindered them. Others are contributing, and that is why the Hornets are more dangerous this season.

The game itself is more dangerous for Liverpool than it may seem on paper. Klopp’s men are in hot form right now, but they might need to be at their best to continue their form against Mazzarri’s organized Watford.
