Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City: Combined XI ahead of EPL showdown
Goalkeeper and Defense
Choosing between Claudio Bravo and Hugo Lloris might take a while once the Chilean actually settles at Manchester City. But Bravo is yet to fully acclimatize to his new club and the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Lloris has completed four seasons at Spurs and is one of the best stoppers in the league. Lloris takes his place as our goalkeeper. At right back, Kyle Walker has solidified his position at Tottenham.
Whilst City have Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta in their ranks. The two rotate on the right side of City’s back four, although Sagna is probably a little bit ahead of Zabaleta now. It’s Walker, though, who gets our pick.

Centre-back provides four good options to choose from between the two teams. John Stones has been fantastic for City since joining for around £47 million in the summer. Alongside him, Nicolas Otamendi has been heroic and has really stepped up this season under Guardiola.
Aleksandar Kolarov has also made some surprise appearances in the heart of City’s defense. However, as good as City are, you cannot ignore the best defense in the league. Lloris and Walker are already in the team and now they are joined by Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian pairing have been incredible since last season and this season is no different. They’re the best centre-back pairing in the Premier League and they slot straight into this combined XI.
At left back, Danny Rose is a worthy pick to round out an all-Spurs defense, but Kolarov has been spectacular for City. Whether at centre-back or left back, the Serbian has been totally reborn under Guardiola and deserves his place at left back.
