Will Ibrahimovic Ever Play In England?
By Ben Church
The Swedish star has been one of the world’s best strikers for quite some time now and he’s lit up some of the best leagues in the world, bar one. Will the forward ever play in England? Or has his chance gone?
Ultimetdly, every team in England would want Zlatan at their club. He would simply improve any squad he walks into. He’s a striker that has it all, strength, speed and a technical ability which is widely unrivaled.
He’s certainly word-class and can change a game in an instance with a flash of magic. Looking back at some of his best goals only demonstrates his confidence and ability to perform on the biggest stage.
The striker has experience to. He has played under some of the greatest managers in world football. Mourinho, Ancelotti and famously Guardiola, a man he never quite saw eye to eye with. He has all the experience behind him so will easily adapt to the English game.
Too Old ?
No chance. Zlatan may be in his 30’s but the striker has plenty more to give. His instinct and ability to score from anywhere will never be lost, no matter how old he gets! Yes, he may not quite have the legs he once had and his signature would only be short term but what a signature it would be!
He is still the star player for PSG so the notion he is past it is utterly wrong. More than anything, Zlatan will bring personality to a new club. He draws a crowd for all the right reasons.
Where Would He Go?
Like I said, anywhere. All the big clubs in England are desperate for a striker and would all snap up the Swedish star if he became available.
Personally, I would like to see him at Liverpool although I know that is very unlikely. The Anfield side simply don’t have the funds to compete with City, Chelsea and United but you never know. What a mouth-watering prospect that is, Klopp and Ibrahimovic. He would certainly become a Kop hero and help propel Liverpool up the league if he were to join. Having that European experience would be brilliant for Liverpool and provide back-up for Liverpool’s frequently injured front line!

Realistically, Zlatan is most likely to join Chelsea. With Diego Costa’s future in doubt, the former Barcelona man would be the perfect replacement. He would be linking up with Jose, a man he holds in the highest regards, and would surely be a hit at the Bridge. Chelsea have the money but does the man want to move?
Ibrahimovic has repeatedly stated he doesn’t need to play in the Premier League. But deep down you have to wonder, would he secretly regret not giving it a go? His former international team-mate, Jonas Olsson, has urged Zlatan to make one final career move to England.
The Swedish man has been quoted saying he has left it too late to play in England but we don’t think so Zlatan. I for one would love to see him grace us with his presence. With speculation regarding his contract at PSG, perhaps this is the perfect time for one last adventure for Zlatan!
