With the goals flowing, Harry Kane is beginning to prove that his form last season was no fluke. His baron start to this season saw critics label the young man a one hit wonder but the striker has put them back in their place. A brilliant goal again at Arsenal today is just the latest for the forward who has re-found his efficiency after a slow start.

Many doubted the star could live up to his scoring record from last year and these doubts seemed legitimate in the early stages on the Barclay’s Premier League. Kane went 7 games without a goal until he struck late on in his sides 4-1 win over Manchester City. His celebrations showed his relief and the goal has kick-started a return to form.

It had looked as if Kane may have been victim of his own success, with teams paying the striker more attention than usual. That, combined with a relatively new team at Tottenham Hotspur, made it difficult for the striker but he never seemed to doubt his ability to score. This shows maturity beyond his years which makes for a promising career for the young man from London.

His rise to prominence last year was demonstrated by his 21 goals in the Premier League which carried Spurs to a top 5 finish. The youngster, who had many average loan spells, was not expected to be the hit he was last season. His rise to fame came as a pleasant surprise to the Lane faithful who quickly fell in love with their new hero.

Since then, Kane has gone onto captain his club and establish himself as the future of English football. He is widely tipped to fill the void left by Rooney when the current national captain relinquishes his international crown.

Football comes naturally to the striker who seems unfazed by his own exciting potential. His passion, technique an eye for a goal has made him hot property around the footballing world with top clubs showing interest in the 22 year-old. Spurs will want to keep hold of their star man who looks set to become a true legend at the club. The crowd see him as one of their own and the striker seems to thrive off the attention.

His goal against Arsenal means he has scored in 4 consecutive games which is more like the form we are used to seeing. If Spurs can keep their man fit, this could be an exciting season for the club. With the league so wide open, Spurs will be eyeing a top four finish at least. They currently sit 5th in the table but aren’t far behind the top spots.

Kane will now meet up with the England squad for the international break and it will be exciting to see if Hodgson plays the youngster from the start. He offers something different and is a more than capable partner for Wayne Rooney. He will then return to domestic duties against West Ham on the 22nd of November.
