Spanish newspaper Sport have claimed that Coutinho could be Barcelona bound in January for a fee speculated to be in the €30+ million range.

Barcelona is seen as the likely target for Coutinho. Their recent transfer ban made the Catalan giants unable to fill the gaps left by the sale of Pedro and through a slew of attacking option injuries. Coutinho also maintains a close friendship with Barcelona star and compatriot Neymar, and has experience playing in Barcelona through a 2012 loan that saw Coutinho play at Espanyol.
With Barcelona’s transfer ban scheduled to be lifted in January it’s likely the Spanish institution will make a major signing to strengthen their ranks.
