The odds of Bradley being named Leicester City manager tumbled on Wednesday evening following a massive string of bets on the current Stabaek –second in the Norwegian top league — manager. Odds on the American fell from 33-1 down to 7-4 making him the current favorite at Leicester City.
Leicester City Sacked manager Nigel Pearson last week following a string of rash incidents at the club. In the clubs statement, Leicester City cited a “a fundamental difference in perspective”, between themselves and Pearson.
Several high-profile incidents took place this past season under Nigel Pearson. Those included a clash between Pearson and Crystal Palace’s James McArthur, Pearson’s referring to a journalist as an “ostrich” and a racist sex tape filmed by three of the clubs staff members while on a tour in Thailand.
More signs pointing to a possible Bob Bradley hiring surfaced on Thursday when the American’s former assistant Predrag ‘Preki’ Radosavljevic stepped down from his role at Sacramento Republic FC — a club in the United State’s Third Division.
When resigning from the club, ‘Preki’ informed the USL Side that he was leaving to take a job in England as well as “test himself at the highest level”. While these incidents may be coincidence, the odds of both taking the Leicester City job have dropped dramatically.
The two managers worked together during Bradley’s time in charge at the now defunct Chivas USA. Following Bob Bradley’s resignation to take over as the manager of the United States National Team, ‘Preki’ spent the next two seasons in charge at Chivas.

If Bob Bradley were to be named manager at Leicester City, he would become the first American to ever helm a club in — arguably the worlds most prestigious league — the Premier League. Bob Bradley would also give the Foxes firm footing in the United States with the appointment of an American.
While the move may not be a popular one back home give Bradley’s inexperience in the worlds top leagues, Bradley is a capable manager who is good enough to succeed at Leicester City.
His tenure in Major League Soccer included two US Open Cup triumphs as well as an MLS Cup victory in 1998. After managing at the international level with the United States and Egypt, Bradley took over as manager at Stabaek in 2014.
After taking the club to ninth in the table last year, Bradley now has the Norwegian side sitting second in the table halfway through the season, only three points back of the league leaders. If his time at Stabaek is any indication, Bob Bradley could be a quality manager at Leicester City.
