Following his release from Ipswich Town, Cropper signed for Southampton FC. Though he has yet to make a senior team debut in three seasons at the club, Cropper has been a regular for the U-21 Premier League side.
With his contract expiring this summer, Cropper has admitted that he will most likely need to move to a club he can play at. With goalkeeper Fraser Forster locked in as the Saints starter, Cropper will most likely be moving to a new club.
Staying in England, if Cropper can find a starting role on a Championship side, he may be able to parlay some good form into becoming a starting Premier League goalkeeper.
