The star of the Mexican National team, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has endured a very tough couple of years. Failing to earn starts at Manchester United, Hernandez joined Real Madrid on loan this past summer.

Thus far however, the move has failed miserably for both parties. Hernandez has made scored only four goals in twenty matches for the Spanish giants, spending most of the season on the bench.
With Real Madrid likely set for years to come with its current attacking lineup, Chicharito’s chances of breaking into the starting XI are almost slim to none.
With Hernandez not expected to be a part of Louis Van Gaal’s plans at United, the Mexican international will be expected to leave the club permanently. Though Tottenham, Everton, West Ham and Stoke are interested in the player, Southampton is said to be leading the chase for the 26-year old.
With Southampton expected to lose Jay Rodriguez this summer, Hernandez would be a great replacement and add a very skilled attacking presence to the Saints front line. A presence that could lead Southampton into the Champions League next season.
