Wilfried Bony Urges Manchester City To Win Every Game, Hopes Chelsea Drops Points
New Manchester City forward Wilfried Bony didn’t hit the ground running after making a switch from Swansea City in January. That is quite understandable, due to the fact that he had to complete international duty before making his City debut.

The striker came off the bench during Sunday’s match against Liverpool, a game in which they lost 2-1. Goals from Jordan Henderson and Philipe Coutinho sandwiched an Edin Dzeko strike, to give the Reds an important home victory against the defending champions.
City currently sit in second place on the Barclays Premier League table, trailing leaders Chelsea by five points. The Blues have a game in hand as a result of playing — and winning — the Capital One Cup Final vs Tottenham on Sunday.
“We need to win, win, win and hope Chelsea will drop some points.”
With 11 games to go (for City), Bony admits that the Cityzens will need to win every game — and hope that Chelsea drop a few points along the way — if they are to have a chance of successfully defending their title.
"It is disappointing, we have made it difficult for ourselves now. If Chelsea win (their game in hand) it will be more difficult for us to get close to them.”“But we still hope – there are 11 more games and every game we just have to win, be positive for the rest of the league and try to get maximum points.”“We need to win, win, win and hope Chelsea will drop some points. It is a difficult moment for us but we still hope we can do it.”-Wilfried BonySource: Daily and Sunday Express"
Bony was the highest scorer in the country during the 2014 calendar year, and he will be hoping that his Swansea form will spill over. We all know how dangerous of a striker he is, but he needs to start scoring again if he wants to help his team get back within touching distance.

City’s season hasn’t gone according to plan, they have already lost four and drawn seven. Manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that his team could still upset Chelsea, but he also feels that they are straining under the pressure.

City will have a relatively easy run, with their next four games coming up against Leicester City, Burnley, West Brom and Crystal Palace. Their next major opponent will be neighbors Manchester United on Apr. 12.

This schedule does offer them a chance to pick up maximum points during these games, but in the Premier League, one can never tell. They did drop points to Burnley in a 2-2 draw in December, so they will be on guard.
Despite Chelsea’s lead, the race is still wide open. Manchester City could take it down to the wire, but the turnaround needs to start with their next game.
