Mino Raiola, the agent of some of footballs most electric players has commented on his thoughts of client, Mario Balotelli’s future. The Italian who represents his fellow countrymen is insistent on Balotelli continuing his struggle at Liverpool. Since arriving at Merseyside in the summer has been incapable of finding consistent form. The Italian has only coverted one goal for Brendan Rodgers side in the Champions League and none in the Premier League.

More from Liverpool FC

His highest tally for the club so far has been 5 yellow cards, one of which was claimed in the Champions League as provided by WhoScored.com. Otherwise Balotelli has provided no assists and has been far from fully adapted to the Premier League life. Raiola admits that one of his biggest faults was satisfying Balotelli’s move back to Serie A during his stint at the San Siro’s AC Milan; yet from a statistical point of video it is difficult to agree.

"“I should have said to him: ‘You’re not going back to Italy. City are a great club. They’ll never let you down. This is the football that counts [one of the best leagues in the world] and you want to leave it’. I’m convinced I was wrong for another reason too: Milan needed a leader. Give the ball to Mario, he scores and everyone is happy. But he is not a leader and it was wrong to ask him to be one. There are great players who aren’t leaders, and other not-so-great players who are.” (Via TheGuardian.com)"

Balotelli scored a whopping 30 goals in 54 appearances for the Rosseoneri. Perhaps this impressive stat is what convinced a club, as different to Mario as Liverpool, to finally submit and purchase the 24 year old. Balotelli has most definitely been one of footballs greatest frustrations. His potential is endless and with his attitude turned to the proper dial, the Italian is able to shift the momentum of a match.

Yet, despite his clear acceptance at Anfield and support for his newest club Liverpool, his passion for Brendan Rodger’s side hasn’t shined through the way one would have hoped. Raiola continues by making a point to help Mario define his career at Liverpool instead of opting for a way out. This is the only way the fading talent may ever be able to learn his worth; before he depreciates it himself with his own sour attitude.

"“Liverpool are different from other clubs. There, [because of Brendan Rodgers’s philosophy] they can’t allow themselves 10 players who run and a superstar [who doesn’t]. Mario is a player who changes a game for you in two or three moments, so they have to adapt to him and him to them. I saw him on Monday and said: ‘You’ve got a [long] contract and I’m not taking you away. Either you leave Liverpool for €60m or €70m and I win the bet or you die there’. It’s the first time that I’ve had such a conversation with a player. I saw that he was calm, changed, different with respect to at Milan. Very disappointed in himself too.”(via TheGuardian.com)"

The hope for Liverpool fans is that his re-emergence will be eventuated alongside Daniel Sturridge. But the football world can only consider so much patience for a player who is as inconsistent as Mario Balotelli.
