Chelsea FC Manager Jose Mourinho and midfielder Cesc Fabregas can find common ground on most things this season, but the idea of them winning the quadruple is not one of them.

The Blues have been playing spectacularly this season, after acquiring Fabregas from Barcelona and also bringing in striker Diego Costa in from Atletico Madrid. The pair have helped take the club to new heights by doing what they do best, with Fabregas becoming the main play-maker and Costa banging in the goals.
Mourinho’s side sit top of the Premier League, having also made it to the knockout stages of the Champions League, with a Capital One Cup semi-final match secured for next month. They will also begin their FA Cup campaign when the new year rolls around.
A Champions League rematch has been set with French outfit Paris Saint-Germain, and the Blues have a very good chance of doing away with the Ligue 1 giants, having a much-improved team since the two last met in the quarter-finals of the competition last season. Chelsea overturned a 3-1 first-leg deficit to book their place in the semis, leaving PSG licking their wounds.
After defeating Derby 3-1 on Tuesday, the Blues will now take on Liverpool in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup. They already beat the Reds 2-1 in the Premier League this season, and will fancy their chances of a repeat in this cup competition.
They have also had a good run in the FA Cup over the last couple years, and are one of the most successful clubs in the history of the tournament. They last lifted the cup back in 2012, but since 1997, no other club has won it more times than Chelsea (6).
Right now, the Blues are the best team in all of England, and with the form that they are in right now, they do stand a huge chance of toppling all competitors to win their eighth FA Cup trophy.
Now the favorites to also win the Premier League title — which would be their first since 2010 — quadruple talks have begun seeping out, but Mourinho does not believe that such is possible (publicly at least). He insists that winning all four of these competitions is not on the club’s to-do list, and when asked if they could pull it off he replied “No, no we can’t.”
"“We don’t even talk about it. A few weeks ago they were all talking about us going the season without being beaten — and we didn’t do that. We don’t speak about four trophies.”“We are going match to match. The next match is the only thing. We can win on Monday at Stoke, but it will be difficult. That is all we think about.”-Jose MourinhoSource: The Daily Star"
The manager is probably trying to deflect pressure, and he must be getting tired of it. Having seen his unbeaten run end after 15 games, all the ‘invincible’ talk went out the window; but now, a new monkey has hopped on his back.
Fabregas on the other hand, believes that the Blues could go on to win all four trophies this season.

"“Time will tell, It’s all up to us. We definitely have the talent, the discipline and the courage to do it from what I’ve seen so far from my short time here. I can see a team doing well but we have to work hard for it and at the end of the season we will speak about it.”-Cesc FabregasSource: Express UK"
The manager is probably right, while Chelsea certainly possess the talent and depth to win the quadruple this season, it will be extremely difficult. All they need to do right now is to remain focused on the present, take it game by game, and they will surely see the silverware come in at the end.
