Manuel Pellegrini and his Manchester City side have what it takes to net the Chilean two league titles in his first two seasons in the league, according to Ben

BEN CLARKE

League Champion – Manchester City; Though Chelsea will remain City’s main rivals for the title, much of their success this season is predicated on a heavy reliance on a striker that has zero experience in the Premier League (Diego Costa).

City have not made many major changes that could potentially disrupt the chemistry of the squad, but they have added to the depth that already existed.  With Fernando giving more options in central midfield, Eliaquim Mangala adding another very good option at center-back, Bacary Sagna pushing for a first-team place with Pablo Zabaleta and Willy Caballero challenging Joe Hart, it’s all very healthy at the Etihad, and it should end in two trophies in two years for Manuel Pellegrini.

Top Seven – Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Tottenham

Relegation – Burnley, Leicester, Aston Villa

Top Goalscorer – Sergio Aguero; Call me a little bias (I am sure that is part of it), but should the Argentine sniper stay fit for at least three quarters of the season, he’ll be the only consistently picked striker in the City side.  He will always guarantee you plenty of goals when he is in top form, and even though City survived without him much of last season, they’ll certainly need him this year.

Young Player of the Year – Raheem Sterling; For me, a no brainer.  You saw his form last season, and now you see the confidence in himself that all young players need to take on the best the game has to offer.  With Suarez gone, Brendan Rodgers is likely to rely on him even more this season, and the understanding he has formed with Daniel Sturridge will pay off magnificently.
