With the conclusion of Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace, we have now already completed eight gameweeks of the 24/25 Premier League season. Let’s take a look at some of the stat leaders after eight games each.

Premier League stat leaders after gameweek eight

As always, Erling Haaland leads the way for goals – despite not scoring for three Premier League games in a row. His 10 goals are four better than any other player. Cole Palmer and Bryan Mbeumo, both on six goals, also blanked this week.

Despite missing the defeat to AFC Bournemouth with an injury, Bukayo Saka is still in front for assists, with seven. With his assist against Chelsea at the weekend, Mohamed Salah has moved level with Cole Palmer in second place, with five assists to his name.

Antoine Semenyo of AFC Bourenmouth is leading the way for shots per game, with an incredible 4.6 per game – 0.2 more than Haaland, who did not have a single effort of any kind against Wolves. In Bournemouth’s win over Arsenal, Semenyo had six attempts, and certainly should have done better with one in particular in the second half.

Ollie Watkins continues to lead the way for big chances missed, with eight. He added another one against Fulham, but did make up for it with a goal that helped secure a big win. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is close behind with seven, having added two in the win over Ipswich Town.

Again, despite missing the defeat at Bournemouth, Saka is still in front for big chances created, with 12 to his name. Palmer remains second with nine, whilst Dwight McNeil is third with seven.

Mohammed Kudus continues to lead the way for dribbles per game – with 3.5. Despite being sent off late on, the Ghanian international completed five in the defeat at Spurs. Jeremy Doku is second with 3.1, and Adama Traore is third with 2.6. Sounds about right.

Finally, Wilfred Ndidi has the most tackles per game, with 4, closely followed by Antonee Robinson and Joao Gomes, whom both average 3.8.
