For this one, the under pressure Erik Ten Hag went with a line up of; Onana, Mazraoui, de Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Ugarte, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford, Zirkzee.

Meanwhile, Ange went for; Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Maddison; Johnson, Solanke, Werner.

It was clear how the game would go from the opening stages, with United immediatelty beginning to force high turnovers with their intense pressing. Just three minutes in, and van de Ven was allowed to carry the ball the length of the pitch, finally passing international colleague de Ligt before having the composure to square to Johnson who could not miss from a couple of yards out.

Spurs continued to dominate, and Maddison nearly doubled the lead after a superb one two with Kulusevksi, but was denied by Onana in the United goal, with United struggling to get out of their own half.

Not long before half time, and things got bad to worse for United as Fernandes was shown a straight red for a challenge on Maddison near the halfway line. As a result, Ten Hag introduced Mount in place of Mainoo in the United midfield.

The sides went into the break with Spurs one goal to the good, but things got worse for United very quickly. Just a few minutes into the second half, and Spurs had two, as Kulusevski scored to give his fantastic performance the reward it deserved.

United huffed and puffed, and did create a couple of openings, with Casemiro volleying wide after a scooped through ball. Spurs would put the game beyond doubt, however, as Solanke was Johnny-on-the-spot to bundle the ball home after Sarr had flicked a corner from fellow substitute Bergvall.

An incredible display from Spurs, and a terrible one from United - Ange Postecoglu's side have created more xG than United at Old Trafford this season. One manager that has a clear philosophy and idendity, and one who doesn't have a clue what he is doing, it would seem.
