Premier League gameweek 2 starts at Saturday Lunchtime, as Brighton host Manchester United at the Amex. Both teams recorded victories on opening weekend, with Brighton winning 3-0 away to Everton, whilst United beat Fulham 1-0 at Old Trafford to kick the season off.
Yakuba Minteh is fit to play, having been forced off with a head injury in the win at Everton, whilst Joshua Zirkzee will be pushing for a start after the scoring the winner against Fulham off the bench.
Crystal Palace host West Ham, with both teams looking to put their opening weekend defeats behind them. Palace will be playing their first game without Joachim Andersen, whilst Niclas Fullkrug will be hoping to make his first start since joining from Borussia Dortmund over the summer.
Fulham host Leicester City, who got a credible point against Spurs on Monday night. Fulham will be looking to put right their opening day defeat to Manchester United and get all three points here. Bobby Decordova-Reid joined the Foxes on a free this summer after five seasons at Fulham, and will be hoping he can haunt his former club this weekend.
Manchester City host Ipswich Town in the most lopsided fixture of the weekend. Ilkay Gundogan has officially rejoined the club after a year in sunny Spain, but this game may come too soon. Much the same for Jack Clarke, who is set to be announced from Sunderland any time now.
Southampton host Nottingham Forest in a big game for both sides to get their first three points of the season. Southampton lost at Newcastle on opening weekend, despite a man advantage for over an hour, and Forest conceded a late equaliser at home to Bournemouth. Forest will be without key midfielder Danilo after a nasty injury on opening day.
Spurs host Everton, as they both also look to get their first win of the season. Everton are to be without first choice central defensive pairing Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski, so new signing from Lyon Jake O'Brien could be in line to make his debut.
Aston Villa host Arsenal in perhaps the most eagerly anticipated fixture of the weekend., in the late kick-off. Villa famously did the double over Arsenal last season, costing them their first league title in 20 years. Both sides started the season with a win last week, against West Ham and Wolves respectively.
Newcastle United make the long trip to Bournemouth this Sunday, looking to build on their hard fought win over Southampton last weekend. Bournemouth got a late goal to secure a point at Forest last weekend, and a home win to go with it would be a great start to the new season, as they prepare for life without Dominic Solanke.
Wolves host Chelsea as Pedro Neto returns to Molineux. Both teams fell to defeat on the opening weekend against the two expected title challengers, and will be looking to make up for that this weekend. Chelsea played on Thursday night in a Conference League qualifier, which could play into the hands of their hosts.
To finish the weekend, Liverpool welcome Brentford to Anfield. Each side got a win on opening weekend, against Ipswich and Crystal Palace respectively. Much like Pedro Neto at Molineux, Fabio Carvalho is returning to Anfield very quickly after leaving for Brentford in the last two weeks. Sepp van den Berg has also swapped Liverpool for Brentford, but this game might come too quick.
