As per publication HITC, Real Madrid are monitoring Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, but face competition from Barcelona and Bayern Munich for his services.
Nottingham Forest defender wanted by clubs across Europe
Real Madrid have been linked to numerous central defenders including Cristian Romero, William Saliba, and Carlo Ancelotti's brief former Everton colleague Jarrad Branthwaite.
Murilo is the latest defender to be linked to Los Blancos, who have had issues at centre-back for a while. There is still no timescale on David Alaba's return, whilst Nacho ended a 23 year association with Real Madrid as he jetted off to Saudi Arabia over the summer.
Eder Militao is prone to injury, and the only fit central defender behind the pairing of him and Antonio Rudiger is Jesus Vallejo. You would imagine they will revisit the situation in January and see if any potential deal can be struck.
Murillo cost Forest a reported fee of just over £10m and has seriously impressed with his performances for Nuno's side, winning the man of the match award in their recent draw at Brighton, and keeping a clean sheet at Anfield the week before that.
These performances clearly haven't gone unnoticed, with some of the biggest clubs in the world monitoring his situation. Many Brazilians have clamoured for him to be called up to the national team, with some accusing current manager of 'domestic bias' by choosing certain players over Murillo.
Forest fans won't be complaining though, he gets plenty of rest during international breaks and as a result has less of a platform to show potential suitors what he can do.
The Brazilian has struck up a fantastic partnership with Nikola Miilenkovic, who signed for a fee of around £12m from Fiorentina in the summer, with the pace and ball playing of Murillo complementing the elite box defending and raw defensive fundamentals of the Serbian.
It is a testament to Forest that there is such interest in a player of theirs, no less someone signed only a year ago. The centre-back arrived from Corinthians in August of 2023, again showing how much value there is in the South American market.
