In the less noteworthy game on Sunday afternoon, Brighton and Hove Albion welcomed Nottingham Forest to the Amex stadium in the Premier League.

Fabian Hurzeler opted for a line up of; Verbruggen; Veltman, van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan; Hinshelwood, Baleba; Adingra, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck.

Meanwhile, Nuno went for; Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Ward-Prowse, Anderson; Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Elanga; Wood.

Just over 10 minutes into the game, Baleba caught Hudson-Odoi inside the box. It was a tad soft, but definitely contact and certainly 'clumsy'. Wood stuck the penalty away, for his third Premier League goal of the season and his 71st goal in the competition.

The game continued to ebb and flow, before a superb swinging cross by central defender van Hecke was expertly met by Hinshelwood who powered a header into the back of the net after 42 minutes.

Despite losing not even five minutes before the break, Brighton would go into the break ahead after a superb free-kick by perhaps surprise taker Welbeck nestled straight into the bottom corner. In incredibly similar fashion to Wood, it was also the strikers third goal of the season, but his 72nd goal all time, one more than his New Zealand counterpart.

With twenty minutes to go, Forest broke through the Brighton offside trap, as substitutes Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa racing through on goal, as the former squared the ball for the latter to smash home and equalise for Nuno's side.

Seven minutes from time, Gibbs-White was sent off in controversial fashion, being given a second yellow card by referee Rob Jones. Nuno's reaction also got himself sent off, meaning both managers had been given their marching orders throughout the game.

Nonetheless, Forest held on for an impressive point on the road. This result means it is now three draws on the spin for Brighton in the Premier League.

The two sides can barely be separated in the Premier League table. Forest are 8th, with nine points and a plus two goal difference, whilst Brighton are 7th, with nine points and a plus four goal difference.
