On Thursday evening, there was lots of action in the Europa and Conference League, including three English teams - Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

How did Premier League sides fare in the Europa and Conference League?

Chelsea got the ball rolling when they faced Panathinaikos, in the hosts first home game since the tragic passing of George Baldock a little over two weeks ago.

Enzo Maresca made eleven changes to the his XI from the team that lost 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday, with the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall given an opportunity to showcase what they can do.

It would be a routine win for the blues, coming out 4-1 victors. Joao Felix opened the scoring midway through the first half, before Mykhaylo Mudryk doubled the lead three minutes into the second half. Felix would score his second of the game seven minutes later, before a Christopher Nkunku penalty just before the hour mark made it 4-0.

The hosts would get one back, as former Manchester United winger Facundo Pellisitri attacked the back post to tap home and make it 4-1. That would be the final goal of the game.

Meanwhile, in the Europa League, Manchester United traveled to Istanbul to face Fenerbahce in the Europa League, as they reunited with former boss Jose Mourinho, and former midfielders Fred and Sofyan Amrabat, who both started for the hosts. Former Premier League players Caglar Soyuncu and Allan Saint-Maximin also started for the hosts.

United took the lead, after a well worked counter lead to Joshua Zirkzee laying the ball off to Christian Eriksen, who wrapped his foot across the ball to place it into the top corner. Ten Hag's side survived a late first half onslaught, where Andre Onana was forced into two saves to deny En-Nesyri.

It would be third time lucky for the Moroccan striker, who headed in an inswinging cross from Saint-Maximin four minutes into the second period to equalise for Mourinho's side. The 61-year old legend of the game was sent to the stands soon after, and Fenerbahce's energy seemed to go with it, as the game petered out for a 1-1 draw.

Elsewhere in the same competition, Spurs hosted AZ Alkmaar, as Troy Parrott made his return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, having permanently departed the club in July of this year.

In a game without too much drama, a second half penalty from Richarlison was enough to make it three wins from three for Ange's side. 17-year old Mikey Moore seriously impressed throughout the game.
