This move will see Amorim remain with Sporting for their upcoming three fixtures. It includes a crucial Champions League clash against Manchester City on Tuesday.
This deal means Amorim will take charge of the squad during the international break. Their away fixture against Ipswich Town on November 24 will be his first game.

Although Amorim has a release clause of €10 million (equal to £8.4 million or $10.9 million) in his contract. It also includes a 30-day notice period.

Sporting wanted an extra €5 million for an immediate departure. This was according to sources of Laurie Whitwell from the Athletic familiar with negotiations in Portugal.
Sporting Lisbon has stated that all details are not yet agreed. The discussion is ongoing for the coaching staff of Amorim. Amorim plans to bring them with him. Sporting wants a fee for those coaches as well.
These coaches are Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro, and Carlos Fernandes. Also, Amorim wants his goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital. He also wants to bring the sports scientist Paulo Barreira to United.

Amorim has spent four years at Sporting. He has a strong bond with the Sporting fans. So, he wants to leave the club in a respectful manner. He led them to two league titles.
Man United are mindful of this bond and the fact that the season is underway. That is they were willing to accommodate a diplomatic transfer process. United's Omar Berrada and Dan Ashworth are in Lisbon to complete this deal.
