CM: Declan Rice. Was brought on as a sub in midweek against West Ham and played well, but it wasn’t enough to turn the game around. He’s been one of the players of the season but he’ll have a tough time up against the solid Newcastle midfield, who compete for duels well. Still, no one better for the job.

CM: Jorginho. I think Mikel Arteta will opt for experience. As proven a few times this season, the role of Jorginho in midfield is an important one. Further, he is able to dictate play and compose the midfield from the Newcastle press, which I expect to be rampant in this match.

CM: Martin Odegaard. The skipper has missed the last two matches as a starter for Arsenal, although he was brought off the bench in midweek. He had a good cameo against West Ham despite the loss, as he was on the scoresheet. To unlock the Newcastle defence, Martin Odegaard will be key.
