London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea have had their fair share of striker problems to fix over the last few seasons. Currently, both clubs likely feel comfortable with what their striker situation looks like. Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus, when healthy, are phenomenal options for Mikel Arteta. For Mauricio Pochettino, Nicolas Jackson is still a work in progress, but newcomer Christopher Nkunku can potentially be a top centre-forward in the league once he returns from injury.

That doesn’t mean the clubs aren’t done adding in their forward line, though. As The Top Flight has covered, Arsenal have been long-linked to Brentford’s Ivan Toney, and it will be a situation to watch closely in January. There’s another striker to look out for in the new year, and it is being reported that the fierce London rivals are both admirers of the player.

According to Calciomercato, in addition to strong interest from AC Milan, Chelsea and Arsenal are monitoring RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. Further in the report, it is suggested that Chelsea and Arsenal hold solid relationships with the owners of RB Leipzig. The Blues only just signed Christopher Nkunku from the club.

Sesko only joined Leipzig from sister club RB Salzburg this summer. After scoring goals for fun in Austria, Sesko has not necessarily been a focal point of Leipzig’s attack, but he has contributed nonetheless. The Slovenian international has netted six goals in 13 games despite a minimal amount of starts.

A January move is likely off the table for Benjamin Sekso as he still looks to adjust to the Bundesliga. However, Sesko is full of promise and potential, meaning bigger clubs will always watch him. Manchester United was once seen as a potential destination for the player when he was still with Salzburg, but he ultimately stayed within the Red Bull family.
