A skilful Arsenal star who has impressed in the Champions League recently has become of interest to El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Arsenal have impressed in the Champions League this season. Winning two of their opening three games in the competition, they have Gabriel Jesus to thank. In three games, the Brazil international has scored in each match, including a skilful assist in his recent match to set up his domestic and international teammate Gabriel Martinelli.

Jesus signed for Arsenal in the summer of 2022 and he was described by Mikel Arteta as “changing their world”. Signing a player of that calibre set the benchmark for Arsenal and low and behold, they finished second in a title challenge against Man City during Jesus’ first season.

Real Madrid and Barcelona keep tabs on Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal

According to a report by AS, Gabriel Jesus is being monitored by El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid, as the two established clubs may make a move to sign the striker if the opportunity becomes available.

It’s known that Mikel Arteta would like to sign an out-and-out striker in the upcoming transfer window, with targets like Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins being linked to the Emirates Stadium. It remains to be seen what this means for Gabriel Jesus, but with Arteta being a fan of the Brazilian, it’s unlikely this will push Jesus out of the starting eleven – After all, he’s versatile and his position could be adapted.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has revealed his stance on Kai Havertz.

Do you think Arsenal will entertain a move for Gabriel Jesus?
