RW – Bukayo Saka. For Arteta, the message is pretty clear. Whenever Saka is even 20% fit, he starts. This is because Arteta wants to make him the best player in the world and the world’s best players start in every match possible. Providing an assist against Chelsea, he will start in midweek.
CF – Gabriel Jesus. Nketiah played a role better than Jesus against Chelsea, but nobody can doubt Jesus’ goal scoring record in the Champions League. Certainly, he’s the striker of choice for Arteta in this competition.
LW – Leandro Trossard. The super-sub Leandro Trossard will get his start in midweek. Already scoring for the Gunners in the Champions League, he’ll look to continue his rich form as the interesting battle between him and Martinelli intensifies.
Arsenal predicted lineup vs Sevilla: Ramsdale; White, Gabriel, Saliba, Tomiyasu; Partey, Rice, Smith Rowe; Saka, Jesus, Trossard
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta plans to add more midfield firepower in January.
