Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is interested in signing a record breaking goal scorer with more goals this season than Harry Kane.

After rescuing a point against the rampant Liverpool, Roberto De Zerbi’s side Brighton and Hove Albion are hopeful they can truly kickstart their push for the top four after the international break. At times this season, they’ve shown they’re capable of being up there with England’s most elite, it just comes down to a factor of consistency.

Already thinking ahead to the January transfer window, the astute tactician Roberto De Zerbi will have an eye on who he wants to sign. Ideally, he would like to bring in a reliable goal scorer who is an upgrade on his current options. With Evan Ferguson likely to get his move away in January, this seems like the position to strengthen first.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi eyes move for Serhou Guirassy

According to a report from 90min, Brighton are among the Premier League teams interested in signing Serhou Guirassy. The Stuttgart striker has defied all odds this season and scored a whopping 13 goals in his opening seven Bundesliga games – A record-breaking start to the season for the 27-year-old.

With more goals on the board than Harry Kane and his side second in the German top flight, it’s no surprise he’s getting interest from some big European clubs. Europa League cult heroes West Ham and Brighton lead the chase, while Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also monitoring his fiery start to the season.

Serhou Guirassy has certainly proven that he has a goal scoring instinct. With Evan Ferguson likely on his way out, this is exactly the calibre of player who Roberto De Zerbi would like to bring in. Given that Guirassy is the most important player to Stuttgart, though, they will expect a hefty fee, if they’re even willing to sell him.
