Spurs risk losing cult hero for FREE – His former club want him back

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is at risk of losing one of the club’s cult hero for FREE. It’s reported his former club want to sign him.
Spurs have had an excellent start to the season. Since Ange Postecoglou has took charge, they are yet to lose a game in the Premier League and head in the international break at the top of the table. Certainly, fortune looks to be in Spurs’ favour, but it’s a testament to their hard work this season.
Spurs risk losing Eric Dier for FREE
One player who is still at the club who will remember the days of Mauricio Pochettino, when the same amount of hope was in the air, is Eric Dier. Surprisingly, the England international is still a Spurs player, despite being heavily out of favour given this new-look midfield and defence.
Dier is a cult hero at Spurs and somebody who is known to embody everything the club is about. However, his time at the club seems to be on thin ice.
It’s through no fault of his own. The club has transitioned and under a new manager, Dier no longer suits the club. If anything, he has become surplus to requirements.
With that being said, Sporting CP are interested in re-signing Eric Dier when his contract expires next month. That’s according to The Times (via 90min), who claim that Dire desires to play abroad again in his next venture.
Eric Dier began his career in Portugal playing for the biggest club Sporting. He was then signed by Tottenham in 2014 and became a cult hero at the club, playing for them in the Mauricio Pochettino era. He was also a coveted England international, who has played in some important games for the international team. Now, it looks set he will return to Portugal where it all began.
Do you think Eric Dier should move back to Sporting CP?
