Manchester United’s new goalkeeper Andre Onana hasn’t had the best start to the season, but he has a big decision to make as soon as possible.

Manchester United players will be hoping for more from themselves. The squad is very purple-patch at the moment, in the sense that they can’t seem to find any consistency. They’ll put in some amazing displays, followed by mediocre displays. Long story short, they need to do better.

One player who has been very open and honest about his shortcomings this season is Andre Onana. The Cameroonian goalkeeper isn’t content with the mistakes he’s made since signing and would like to rectify it.

But soon, Manchester United could become the goalkeeper’s second priority. He has some off-field issues to fix with the Cameroonian national team, who would welcome him back in heartbeat should he be willing to represent them again.

Manchester United star Andre Onana is reluctant to play at AFCON

According to a report from ESPN, Onana is reluctant to join the Cameroon national team for the Africa Cup of Nations, despite making up with the coach Rigobert Song. Meanwhile, he will be involved in the upcoming international break.

This is because the goalkeeper doesn’t want to miss a month of Premier League action, since he’s aware of the repercussions it could have on his team Manchester United. To that, I have to take my hat off to Onana since United have been waiting for a very long time for players who would be willing to give their all for the club.

Say what you want about his start, nobody can deny his passion to represent the club to the best of his ability. He will soon improve for form is temporary but class is permanent.

Do you think Andre Onana should represent Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations?
