Third on the list of potential strikers for Chelsea is Ivan Toney.
The English striker is linked with a move away in January as he is set to return to football after his lengthy betting ban. It’s thought that Brentford are pursuing a new striker in January, regardless of whether or not Toney stays, so this only fuels the rumours linking him with a move away.
From Chelsea’s perspective, they’ll face competition from their two London rivals Spurs and Arsenal. Both clubs are performing astronomically better than the Blues at the moment, but Toney might like the challenge of breaking the striker curse at Stamford Bridge.
So, to summarise, Caught Offside has summarised the three striker options for Mauricio Pochettino to consider as: Victor Osimhen, Evan Ferguson and Ivan Toney. At the moment, Osimhen looks the most likely, but this could certainly change in an instant.
