According to a report in England, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is looking to sign the Premier League assist leader in January.

Arsenal and their North London rivals Spurs remain the only two sides to be unbeaten in the Premier League this season. Mikel Arteta has continued the momentum from last season as now, the Gunners look like they could be title contenders again. This time, Arteta will hope for more backbone from his players, though.

Certainly, an important factor which will dictate how Arsenal’s season pans out is their January transfer window. At the start of the new year, Mikel Arteta will have a chance to freshen up his squad and add some new options. Certainly, he’s looking forward to this opportunity and has already shortlisted some options.

Arsenal maintain an interest in Mikel Arteta’s target Pedro Neto

According to a report from the Mirror, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta maintains interest in Wolves forward Pedro Neto and could make a move for him in January.

Currently, no player in the Premier League has more assists than Pedro Neto (4). It’s been a sensational turnout for him this season, as he looks like the most dangerous asset in attack for Wolves this season. In many ways, he is largely to thank for them climbing their way into midtable despite expectations.

Given Bukayo Saka’s recent injury scare, this would have reinforced the notion to Mikel Arteta that he needs to consider signing a backup right winger for Saka. Although it’s hard to find an option better than the English winger right now, having a backup who can provide healthy competition is never a bad thing.

In other news, we predicted Arsenal’s lineup to face Lens.
