Manchester United are working on an in-house pursuit for one of their most complete stars, reports transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The mood is good at Manchester United right now. When it appeared they were down and out, Erik ten Hag has picked up some good momentum and got some good results in the bag. It’s astonishing how a good run of form can completely change the perception of the club, so fair play.
Even in their rough patch at the start of the season, there was one player who emerged as the diamond in the rough for Manchester United. The young midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been a complete revelation since his introduction to the first team, and this has been noticed by not just United, but other clubs.
The difference Hannibal Mejbri has made to this #mufc side in the last few games has really surprised me.

One of the significant issues at Man Utd has been our inability to match our opponents' physicality and athleticism. Teams like Brighton, Spurs, and Bayern were all over us… pic.twitter.com/DSnzv46dG7
Indeed, Sevilla have shown a keen interest to sign Mejbri. It’s no surprise either, as his versatility in the midfielder means he would complete any midfield. Ageing at 20 years old, the Tunisian midfielder has plenty of time to adapt and improve his game, but Erik ten Hag would like that improvement to happen only at Old Trafford.

As reported by the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United plan to open talks with Hannibal Mejbri over a new contract extension. It comes as Ten Hag would like to repent Sevilla from their interest by securing their Carrington graduate to a long-term deal, since his current deal runs out at the end of this season, with the option for a further year.
Do you think Hannibal Mejbri should commit his long-term future to Manchester United?
