2. Ollie Watkins

The second option I propose to Mikel Arteta is a striker he’s already targeting. According to yesterday’s transfer news, Edu has been in talks with Ollie Watkins’ agent. That said, Arteta is prepared to battle with Chelsea for the signing of Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.

The English striker is also proven in the Premier League and has shown an ability to get in goal scoring positions when it matters most. What sets him above Nketiah, though, is that he can finish his chances with aplomb.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa will soon enter talks with Ollie Watkins over a new deal which would keep him at Villa Park. Certainly, the striker is willing to listen to the proposal from former Gunners boss Unai Emery before he considers any move elsewhere. But certainly, Watkins remains an option at striker for Arsenal.
