Liverpool would not like to lose Mohamed Salah anytime soon, however, it’s possible. That said, Jurgen Klopp has drafted this “immense” 22-year-old to replace him.

In the summer transfer window, Liverpool lost several key players. However, due to the immense talent of the recruitment team, which often operates within a strict budget, the Reds only have improved this season. They’ve started the season incredibly well, sitting third in the Premier League table, only behind second place on goal difference.

The Reds kick off their Europa League campaign against LASK Linz. Klopp is likely to rotate his squad, although he does have a good track record in European competition. He won’t see this as a measly trophy despite his aim being the Champions League. In fact, winning the Europa League is an alternative route back into the Champions League.

A key reason for their great start to the season is Mohamed Salah, who has really found his form of late. One of the most consistent players in the world, Salah is a real asset to Liverpool and indeed Jurgen Klopp. Although, they came close to losing him in the summer.

Liverpool eye Rodrygo as their Mohamed Salah replacement

With this in mind, Klopp has shortlisted a worthy replacement, should they lose Salah. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool would be keen to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid, should they lose Salah at any point.

The 22-year-old Rodrygo is showing some great potential and with his best years ahead of him, he has what it takes to replicate Salah’s legacy at Anfield Stadium. Described as having “immense” footballing IQ, he could certainly elevate this Liverpool team and develop tremendously under Jurgen Klopp.

Do you think Rodrygo would be a good replacement for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool?
