Manchester United, during the regime of the Glazer family, have made some foolish signings. While signing a player, they never thought about looking at his injury record. If footballing people were in charge of the club, things could have been better and fans might not have seen Eric Bailly wearing a Man Utd shirt.
However, this should take nothing away from the fact that Eric Bailly was a very good servant for United. He is a very good defender. But, his time at Old Trafford was plagued with injuries. Therefore, Erik ten Hag found it hard to trust the Ivorian defender who now left permanently for Besiktas.
Besiktas announced the move for Eric Bailly from Manchester United
The new club of Eric Bailly announced the arrival of their new defender with a statement on their official social media page; “Welcome to Beşiktaş Eric Bailly. Our club has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the final transfer of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly. We wish Eric Bailly, who we believe will provide important services to our club, great success with our glorious jersey, and present it to the public with our respect.”
Apart from that, the transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal. As the Saudi Arabian and Turkish transfer window is still open, Manchester United would be looking to offload some players that they don’t want at the club. The next in line for a move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia will be Donny van de Beek.
Manchester United needed more outgoings this summer. Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Anthony Martial should not have been at the club after the transfer window. It shows that United are still not competent enough to sell players and they always overpay to get their targets.
So, Man Utd fans, what do you think about United’s transfer business this summer? Let us know in the comments!
