Brighton and Hove Albion had an incredible transfer window. Roberto De Zerbi brought in some excellent additions and did well to overcome the adversity of losing his best players. If anything, the Seagulls look like a more fearsome side than they were last season and it’s thanks to some incredible signings.

Perhaps the most notable signing was one which came late on. The deal for Ansu Fati was completely unexpected earlier in the window. While it may just be a loan deal, the superstar is able to bring sheer talent to the South Coast, making Brighton a force to be reckoned with this season.

Speaking out about his loan move, the youngster has pinpointed the one factor which drew him to sign for Brighton. Of course, fans would’ve expected this, but to hear it from the player himself is quite special. If you hadn’t already guessed, it’s the manager Roberto De Zerbi.

That’s right. According to Fabrizio Romano, who was one of the first to break the news that Brighton were interested, it was a conversation with De Zerbi which convinced Fati that Brighton was the club for him.

Fati is still just 20 years old and has a bright future ahead of him. While he might not be ready to lead the attacking charge for the super club Barcelona, he is tipped as one of the ones to watch for the future. Certainly, Brighton will benefit from one of the best young players in the world.
