It was always bound to be a busy couple of days for Brighton and Hove Albion as the Premier League transfer window draws to a close. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are aware of the financial resources which are held on the South Coast of England, particularly after they scammed Chelsea for a huge Moises Caicedo fee.

In fairness, Brighton have done a stellar job at replacing their lost players and if anything, they look better so far this season without them. But even with these new-found resources, the club remains close to its roots and finds the best players in the market the frugal way.

Ansu Fati will travel to Brighton in under an hour

We only reported within the last hour that Brighton and Hove Albion had planned the medical for their latest loan signing Ansu Fati. Well, since then, there has been another important update from Fabrizio Romano.

According to Romano, Brighton and Hove Albion plan to fly out Ansu Fati on a private jet within the next hour. In a fast-paced transfer, the club’s efficiency could see them secure the services of Fati on a season-long loan with no option to buy, with Brighton covering the main chunk of his salary.

Not having a clause to buy is freeing for Roberto De Zerbi as it means he’s under no obligation or expectation. From the player’s perspective, he is moving to a great side who is coached by one of the best in the business. Let’s not forget, the Seagulls play in the Europa League this season so it’s invaluable experience for the young winger.
