Erik ten Hag remains active in the transfer window, with his eyes set on signing a midfielder and a backup goalkeeper before the window closes in a couple of days. So far, Manchester United have done well to strengthen their squad and keep their best players but they must end on a high for the window to be an overall success.

Alongside the new signings, there are some fringe players who must be sold or loaned. One of those players is Dean Henderson, the out-of-favour Manchester United goalkeeper who has been desiring a move away from Old Trafford for some time now. Well, according to a transfer expert, he is just moments away from securing that move.

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson close to Crystal Palace move

According to Fabrizio Romano, Dean Henderson is close to completing his move to Crystal Palace, after completing his medical tests. Romano hints that this opens the door for Altay Bayindir, his ideal replacement, to be signed.

Henderson was aware that he would be second fiddle to Andre Onana, who has started the season inconsistently. As an England international who is ageing at 26 years old, the last thing you’d want is to be playing as a backup goalkeeper. Therefore, his move away is understandable.

Dean Henderson is expected to be unveiled as the new Crystal Palace goalkeeper today in a move which has finally reached its completion. In fact, Henderson has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for a few seasons.

Do you think Dean Henderson will be a success at Crystal Palace?
