Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea midfielder begs Kai Havertz successor to sign
By Kian Long
Chelsea are not known to require help in the transfer window. In fact, their owner Todd Boehly will happily throw resources into the club to land the best players in the world. Seen over the last two transfer windows, though, this isn’t the best strategy. Instead, the Blues must focus on improving their recruitment team and assessing where a potential signing would fit in before making deals.
The best way that the Chelsea board can understand the needs of the squad is to ask the players directly. After all, Mauricio Pochettino is a great manager but he is known for his impeccable man-management approach, where he understands the needs of the players and uses these needs to adopt his transfer strategy, not vice versa which was the club’s approach before he joined.
Enzo Fernandez convinces Paulo Dybala to join Chelsea
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, one Chelsea player has voiced the signing he would like the club to make. Further, he has even took to being in direct contact with the player to convince them to join.
Yep. Enzo Fernandez has roleplayed as an agent and is trying to convince Paulo Dybala to sign for Chelsea.
To me, this deal doesn’t make much sense. After all, where would Paulo Dybala play that doesn’t have ten players already playing in that position? But, then again, I guess that could be said for any position.
I suppose that selling Kai Havertz to Arsenal would be the perfect door for Paulo Dybala to join. While Havertz was played as a striker at Chelsea, his natural position is similar to that occupied by Dybala.
Still, fans would never turn their noses up at the possibility of signing the world-class Paulo Dybala. I guess we’ll see if Enzo’s efforts are rewarded.
Do you think Paulo Dybala would sign for Chelsea?
