Liverpool Transfer News – Dominik Szoboszlai is a prime target, but his release clause is causing concern

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Liverpool is weighing up a move for RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai this summer transfer window. Ornstein reports that internally Liverpool feels that a move for the Hungarian international may be unrealistic at this point. Confirming a report from Fabrizio Romano, Szoboszlai’s release clause of £60M probably expires on June 30th, meaning Liverpool will have to act extremely fast if they want to sign the player. The Top Flight reported earlier this year that Newcastle is also interested in Szoboszlai.

Liverpool Transfer News – Nico Barella does not want to leave Inter

Paul Joyce of The Times confirms that Liverpool does have interest in Italian midfielder Nico Barella. Joyce states that despite this interest, Barella is not pushing any sort of move away from Inter. Barella’s contract with the recent Champions League runners-up is still valid until 2026, putting all the leverage into the hands of the Serie A club.

Liverpool Transfer News – Nat Phillips could join relegated Leeds United

Phil Hay of The Athletic is reporting that Leeds United wants to sign Liverpool’s Nat Phillips. Hay believes that Liverpool could command as much as £10M for the defender. Phillips has been a bit of an outcast since the 20-21 season, where he played significant time due to plenty of injuries at the back for Liverpool. Phillips has some Championship experience, having played for Bournemouth two seasons ago. Phil Hay thinks the potential hiring of Daniel Farke will only fuel Phillips links, as the German manager wanted the player during his time at Norwich.
