Chelsea transfer news – Trevoh Chalobah wants to stay

Chelsea will offload MANY players this summer. Although the fans might like it, it’s what needs to happen given Todd Boehly’s bombardment of the club. As they plan to balance the books at Stamford Bridge, there’ll be some players on comfortable contracts who won’t want to leave – Trevoh Chalobah being one of them.

According to The Athletic, Chalobah wants to stay and fight for his place at Chelsea, only leaving if he feels surplus to requirements which, unfortunately, he is. Particularly when you consider Levi Colwill coming back, this makes every defender fight ten times harder to retain their place at the back.

Chelsea transfer news – Poch wants to sign Federico Valverde

According to reports from SPORT, Mauricio Pochettino has personally requested that Todd Boehly puts some money down on the table to sign Federico Valverde. Estimations value Valverde at around £85m, although from Real Madrid ‘s perspective, he is untouchable and the club will not want to sell him at any price.

Chelsea transfer news – Blues could be offered Harry… Maguire?

It’s not quite the “Harry” they were after, but reports have weirdly suggested that Chelsea could be offered the opportunity to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United. According to The Sun, Harry Maguire could be included as a makeweight in United’s offer to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea.

It is important to note that reports from The Sun should ALWAYS be taken with a pinch of salt. If they were to have a conversion rate on their reports, it would likely be worse than Timo Werner’s conversion rate at Chelsea. Still, I felt like this one was worth reporting for the sheer comedy (I mean, surely Chelsea wouldn’t even entertain the idea… Right?)
