Arsenal transfer news – Joao Cancelo not interested in Arsenal

In recent weeks, reports have been linking Arsenal with a move for Joao Cancelo. This is because the Portgual international does not feel at home at Manchester City or his loan destination Bayern Munich. Interesting, Pep Guardiola even stated recently that he would allow Cancelo to join Arsenal, despite them signing many of their players already.

However, today, it’s bad news for Arsenal fans. Abendzeitung-Muenchen (via Caught Offside) report that Joao Cancelo finds the proposition of returning to England, whether it be to Man City or indeed Arsenal, “uninteresting”. Therefore, he has no real intention of signing for Arsenal so Mikel Arteta should begin to look elsewhere.

Arsenal transfer news – Unai Emery wants Kieran Tierney at Aston Villa

Kieran Tierney is more than likely on his way out of Arsenal this summer. The Scottish left-back has hardly been a key player under Mikel Arteta this season. Granted, he’s suffered from injury but even when he’s fit, he struggles to make it into the first team.

With this in mind, Unai Emery would like to bring him to Aston Villa, according to The Times. The two had a good relationship while working together at Arsenal.

Arsenal transfer news – Martin Odegaard will stay

Previous reports had linked Martin Odegaard with a shock move away to Paris Saint-Germain. However, reports today have stated that Odegaard will stay at Arsenal, since he is happy there and the club does not wish to put him up for sale at any price. This is according to The Standard, and will come as great news to the Arsenal faithful.
