Liverpool Transfer News – Liverpool officially announce four departures ahead of summer transfer window
Per Liverpool FC, Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will depart the club in the summer. All four players were a part of the most recent Champions League and Premier League winning squads for Liverpool. While they all deserve their farewell, the departure for Roberto Firmino will likely sting the most for Liverpool fans. Once he leaves, Firmino will have spent 8 seasons at Liverpool, scoring 109 goals in the process. He was of course a staple in the lethal trio of Mane, Firmino and Salah that terrorized the Premier League.
Liverpool Transfer News – Midfield summer shortlist revealed
There has been plenty of speculation on who will be a part of Liverpool’s midfield revamp. The heavily reliable Neil Jones of Goal has presented who the club will target.
Mason Mount is one of the club’s targets but the club have also held discussions with Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch. The rest of their shortlist is made up of Matheus Nunes, Joao Palhinha and Teun Koopmeiners. Additionally, the club are admirers of Brighton’s Moises Caicedo but are unlikely to enter a bidding war with other Premier League clubs. Despite rumours from Uruguay and Portugal suggesting otherwise, Manuel Ugarte is reportedly not a target for Liverpool this summer.

According to Jacque Talbot of FootballTransfers, Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to enter into negotiations with Liverpool this summer. Alexander-Arnold’s current contract runs until 2025. Talbot reports a long-term contract of six years is on the table but it is likely something shorter is agreed upon. Alexander-Arnold is enjoying a phenomenal end of the season as Liverpool chase Champions League football. In a new hybrid role, Alexander-Arnold has 7 goal contributions in his last 8 matches.
