Chelsea fans rip into Frank Lampard as horror show continues after Arsenal defeat

Despite being a legendary player at the club, Chelsea fans have seemingly had enough of Frank Lampard as interim manager
Chelsea has now lost six games in a row with Frank Lampard and the latest defeat comes at the hands of London rivals Arsenal, 3-1. Frank Lampard was appointed as interim manager on April 6th after Graham Potter was sacked following a dreadful run of form. As widely reported by The Top Flight, Chelsea had looked at many options to replace Potter but ultimately decided to name Lampard to lead the club for the remainder of the season. It is expected that Mauricio Pochettino will take over as manager this summer.
With the horrid run of form, Chelsea fans are now turning against Frank Lampard as they demand that the club legend be sacked.
Frank Lampard played 648 games with Chelsea, including 11 trophies at the club. He is widely regarded as Chelsea’s best player of all time, holding the record for most goals scored for the club with 211. He also sits fourth in all-time appearances for the club. Despite all of this, Chelsea fans are extremely upset with Lampard returning to the club.
Frank Lampard had previously been out-of-work after being sacked by Everton. While last season he had helped the club survive relegation, Everton faltered this season under Lampard and he was sacked in January. It seems beyond shocking that he was given the interim job at Chelsea. There seems to be little tactical flexibility or adaptability with Lampard and line-up decisions often look rather bizarre.

It gets worse for Chelsea fans though. Given the club’s run of form, Arsenal fans do not want to see Frank Lampard leave the club.
It has to be said, Frank Lampard returning to Chelsea is one of the worse managerial decisions in recent memory. Chelsea and its fans will surely be galvanized at seeing the club reset itself this summer, including appointing a new manager.
