Arsenal injury news – Key trio are confirmed to be out

After it was essentially confirmed that William Saliba wouldn’t play for the rest of the season, he joined the injury list alongside Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu. The French defender is most certainly the Gunners’ biggest blow.

If Mikel Arteta didn’t risk him in the title decider against Manchester City, then he certainly won’t risk him against mid-table club Chelsea.

Arsenal injury news – Granit Xhaka could be doubtful vs Chelsea

According to London World, Granit Xhaka is facing a race against time to be fit in time for the Chelsea clash. After exiting the match against Man City early, it’s suspected the Swiss midfielder picked up a knock.

It didn’t look too serious at the time so this works in Arsenal’s favour. However, we all know Arteta doesn’t like to give much away. Therefore, expect some further updates on this knock closer to the match, not any time soon.

Xhaka has been a key figurehead to Arsenal’s title challenge this season. Having thrived in some of the biggest games this season, his absence would be sorely noted against Chelsea. Fans hope he can brush off any injury concerns ahead of this London derby.
