Arsenal come up against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow night in what is their biggest game this Premier League season so far. The result is likely going to decide the race for the title race but as far as Mikel Arteta is concerned, his team need to have a perfect run between now and the final match of the season.

Here’s my Arsenal predicted lineup to face the current champions…

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Manchester City

Aaron Ramsdale will start between the sticks. He had a stinker against Southampton in the most recent match and could’ve done better against West Ham in the previous match. By the law of averages, he’s due a good game in this one but that’s never easy to say when coming up against the likes of Erling Haaland.

Ben White will start at right back, one of the diamonds in the rough given his team’s lack of form recently. Arteta will have no choice but to start Rob Holding in the centre of defence given the lengthy injury to Saliba. He’ll partner Gabriel Magalhaes. Then, at left back, it’ll be Oleksandr Zinchenko coming up against his old club – On the pitch, there’ll be no friendships.

Playing in the midfield three, Arteta will revert to the usual trio. After experimenting in the last match, Granit Xhaka will return to the starting eleven. It’ll be Thomas Partey who holds the line, after the Ghana international missed the previous fixture between these two sides he’ll be hungry to put in a good display. Captain on the night and perhaps the Gunners’ most important player will be Martin Odegaard.

In attack is where complications occur. You have four quality players fighting for just three spots. I do think it’ll be Trossard who misses out though, as the attacking trio of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have looked good in recent matches.
