Arsenal handed biggest title boost yet as crucial player returns from injury

Arsenal need to win the Premier League title at this point. As a fan, I am over the moon that my club have progressed from 5th in the table to potentially first, potentially second. However, finishing second would go down as a bad season at this point, since we’ve been top for most of the season.
So, dropping four points out of a possible six points across the last two games does not look good. Something needs to change if the players are to go out of there and fight until the end like real champions do. Luckily, they might have been granted that positive change.
According to Football London, William Saliba has been spotted in the gym as he prepares his return from injury. It remains to be seen when the Arsenal defender will return but this is certainly a positive sign.
Arsenal face relegation-destined Southampton who are rock bottom and don’t look like coming up with a win any time soon. The game is on Friday, so it’s a race against time for William Saliba. However, it’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t feature in this match since his defensive brilliance won’t be essential in a game like this.
What is good news, though, is that this means Saliba is more likely to be available for the game next Wednesday against Manchester City. With only a 4 point gap, 1 if City win their game in hand, this fixture is bound to determine the title. Therefore, Saliba is pivotal.
I can recall the FA Cup fixture earlier this season, where Saliba had Haaland in his pocket for the entire 90 minutes. There’s no denying that Saliba and Gabriel have the best defensive partnership at the Gunners, regardless of how well Holding has done in his absence. Here’s to all the praying fans right now.
